Mr. John C. Allen, of East Olympia, died last night after a lingering illness, and his remains will be buried to-day.

Mr. John C. Allen died, on Thursday morning, the 24th inst., at his residence, Eastside, after a long and painful illness, aged 66 years. The funeral was held at the Methodist church, to-day at 2 o'clock p.m., Rev. G. A. Landon, conducting the services, and the remains were deposited in Masonic cemetery. Deceased was widely known in this community as a devoted and consistent Christian, esteemed by a large circle of friends and a man of exemplary character.
