Love was born about 1786.[1] She married Eleazar Wheelock Ripley in 1811.[2][3] She died in 1820 of "the prevaling fever" in Shieldsborough (now Bay Saint Louis), Mississippi.[4]
"She died of yellow fever at Pensacola,
September 11, 1820, her husband being then stationed at that
place. She left a son and daughter; the son, Henry, volunteered to fight for the independence of Texas, but being taken
prisoner, was massacred with Fanning's command, after capture by order of Gen. Santa Anna, and the daughter, who
married Col. Lanson of Louisiana, was a childless widow, during the war of the Rebellion going about doing good among
the sick and wounded in Louisiana."[5]
