Biography

Benjamin was born in New Haven, Connecticut, ,1 May 1736, son of Nathan ALLING & Hannah TODD.^[1][2]

He married in New Haven 7 March 1764 Lydia Tuttle.^[3]

He removed to Weathersfield about 1766, one of its first settlers. By 1771, they had one boy and two girls.^[4]

He served as elected town treasurer, collector and assessor.

He drowned 1 April 1774 and is buried at Richards Graveyard in Weathersfield, Vermont.^[5]

His widow married Asaph Butler and had two more children by him.
