Living nearby was William’s brother, Franklin R. Allen, 58, a merchant, his wife Josephine, four children, and two servants. [3]
Charles Allen was the treasurer of Franklin Savings Institution, as was his father before him. He is buried with his parents and other family in the Green River Cemetery, Greenfield, Mass. [4]
