Ephraim was born 13d 5m 1691 [13 July 1691].[1] He was the posthumous son of Ephraim Allen and his wife Margaret Wardell.[1]
Ephraim Allen of Shrewsbury wrote his Will dated 20 December 1747, naming wife Mary, children Joseph and Lydia, and grandson John Allen. Wife and friend Job Cook were the executors (both Quakers). Witnesses were Emmanuel Wooley, Stephen Cook, and Amariah Slocum.[2]
He passed away 24d 10m 1747 [24 December 1747], in his 57th year.[3] He is buried in the Friends' Meeting House Yard.[3]
Different profiles for Ephraim Allen need to be thoroughly researched and documented. There has been much confusion as to this individual, spouse, parents, and children. (The Ephraim that died 1747 was not the father of Susannah Allen Oaks Butler. So I am re-attaching her to her correct parents.)
