Marion Cleveland Allen Sr. is known only from the death records of his children.^[2][3] He married Elizebeth "Effie" Seaton.

In 1900, his known children were living with aunts and uncles in Lonoke County, Arkansas, suggesting Marion Sr. and Effie died prior to 1900.^[1][4]
