John was born about 1855. He was a farmer.
He appears to been born in Donegal and emigrated to America, where he was married and had a son before returning to Donegal.
He passed away after 1911.

Notes
Tully is a townland in County Donegal in the Barony of Raphoe North and Parish of Raymoghy. The Parliamentary Division is East Donegal and it fell under the Poor Law Union of Letterkenny. The District Electoral Division (DED) was Kincraigy.
It is possible the are two different John Allens present in Tully in the 1901 and the 1911 censuses.
