A quiet wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church, Singleton on 20th July by the Rev. Canon H. S. D. Portus, when Ruby Millicent, the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Allen, of Maitland-road, near Singleton, was married to Percy Underwood, the fourth son of Mrs Alley (Guildford) and the late Mr J. U. Alley.
The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr Reg T. Allen, looking nice in a gown of navy crepe de chine, with hat to match, and carrying a bouquet of roses, jonquils, sweet peas, and fern.
The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome fur coat. Mr W. Crow was best man, and the breakfast was held at the residence of the bride's parents.
The bride and bridegroom left for Maitland, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride's travelling dress being rose crepe dc chine, with hat to match.
