Biography
Esther was born in 1771.
Marriage intention filed May 9, 1790 in Walpole, Massachusetts. "Esther Allen and Asa Clapp". [1]
She passed away in 1839 [2] and is buried in East Cemetery in Marlborough. [3]
"Asa Clapp, son of Joshua and Margaret (Guild) Clapp, born in Walpole, Mass., March 26, 1763; married Sept 16, 1790, Esther Allen, born in Walpole, Mass., Dec 16, 1771. He came to Marlborough [New Hampshire] about 1798 and settled in the north-easterly part of the town,near what is now known as the "Clapp pond". He died March 31, 1840; his wife died May 29, 1839." There are four children listed. [4]
