William was born about 1832. He is the son of Erasmus Allen and Lucy Ballinger.

1st spouse: Mrytle Ella Wilson born 1870 and died 1907 married in 1889. 2nd spouse: Nina Gertrude Reger Carpenter/Allen, born 1876 and died 1955, married in 1912. 3rd spouse: Ara Ann Collins married 05/22/1908.

From Ancestry.com: Obituary - William W. Allen Succumbs at 91, William Wallace Allen, 91 died last night in a local hospital. He left 109 direct descendants. Allen, who was born in Kentucky, lived in Fresno 24 years. He worked as a farmer, coal miner, carpenter, electrician and plumber before retiring almost 30 years ago. He put nearly all these skills to work when he began at the age of 75, to build the two-story home at the Liberty Avenue address. Starting with the basement he constructed the dwelling over a period of several years, doing all the work himself. He belonged to the Baptist Church. Allen's survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Colwell of Fresno, Mrs. Mary Jo Henderson of Bondurant, Iowa, and Mrs. Iva Hill of Norwalk, Iowa; three sons, Norman of Marshalltown, Iowa, Amel of Birth Tree, Missouri, and Forest of Weston, West Virginia; a brother, Erasmus Allen of Phoenix, Arizona, 29 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. The Lisle Funeral home is arranging the services.

Buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Fresno, Fresno County, California.
