Biography

Emma was born in 1834 in Wonersh, Surrey. We could not locate any birth/christening records, so this information was obtained from census. From the marriage record, we know that her father was Robert Allen (mother not identified), and she was living with her grandmother by the time of the 1851 Census. Emma married Benjamin Hankins in 1863, but it appears that they had no children. Emma became a widow at some point, and by 1911, she was a resident of the Union Workhouse in Farnham. She passed away in 1913.
