Mary was born She was the daughter of
Prince Allen and Hannah Gifford of Dartmouth. The 1870 US census gives her age as 46 so she was born in about 1824. 
Mary married Thomas Inman of Providence, Rhode Island, son of Daniel and Abigail Inman of Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island, on 2d 11m 1843.
In 1850 she and her husband were living at Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Also in the household was Edward Inman, age 4.
The 1870 US census lists Mary and her husband as living at Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Also listed are Edward Inman, 24 and Hannah G Inman, 19, both born in Massachusetts.
She died on 20 August 1893 at Westport, Massachusetts, with the cause of death given as general congestion and debility.
