James died in Medfield, Massachusetts, on Feb. 5, 1835, at the age of 78.
Children, recorded in Medfield, Massachusetts, vital records:
Polly, b Mar. 3[?], 1782; might have been the Polly Allen who married John Kingsbury in Medfield, Feb. 12, 1807.
Elexander, b Aug. 26, 1784; d Aug. 8, 1785.
John, b Oct. 16, 1786.
Olive, b Sept. 26, 1793.
A previous version of this profile claimed, without sources, that James also had a daughter Mary, who was somehow half Cherokee and lived in Georgia.
One previous edit on this profile claimed she was Mary "Polly" Allin/Allen, born 3 February 1781 and who married John M McDonald, a Scottish emigrant to Georgia, and that she died between 1830-40 in Jefferson County, Georgia. But as we see above, Polly was born 3? March 1782 in New England and likely married John Kingsbury in Medfield.
