Biography

Friends here have received the news of the death of George Walbridge Allen, age 35 years, son of General and Mrs. Charles J. Allen. Mr. Allen was well known here, where the family have been prominent summer residents, for many years at their cottage on Starbuck's Neck, and where many friends sympothize deeply with them in their bereavement. He was a graduate of Washington University, St. Louis, and a civil engineer by profession, and was a young man of sterling character and high attainments. Besides his father and mother, he leaves behind two brothers, Philip Cleveland Allen of Chicago and Charles Kissam Allen of New York, and a sister Grace Allen.

George is buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, District of Columbia
