Alva Desoit Allen was born November 23, 1918 in Muncie, Delaware, Indiana. He died December 29, 2008 in El Dorado, Union, Arkansas at age 90.

Son of Andrew Raymond Allen and Ina Irene Zehrbaugh.

Alva Desoit Allen married Doris Lynch on December 25, 1940 in Delaware, Indiana.

Obituary

Age 90, of El Dorado, died Tuesday at Medical Center of South Arkansas, following a lengthy illness; born in Muncie IN, son of Andrew R and Ina Zearbauch Allen; a graduate of Ball State University, earning a master's degree from Southern State University; formerly a chemist for US Rubber in IN and Cooper Tire; an instructor at SAU Tech in Camden; member of First United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were parents and wife, Doris Allen.

Survivors include son Dennis Allen (Dianne) of Indianapolis, grandchildren Graham Allen, Adrienne Rupert and Colin Allen, and great-granddaughter Trevor Luna Rupert.
