Samuel was born in 1798. He is the son of Thomas Allen and Margery Bryan.
He married Amy Clark on January 10, 1828
He had 11 children
A son Samuel C, b 1849 d 1912. married Maggie E Hardin b 1860 d 1935 - they are both buried in Westwood Cemetery, Gallatin Co, IL
He passed away about 1856. (the Children source below lists his death as Oct 12, 1861 in Greene Co, IL
