Biography

Harris Jay Allendorph, aged thirty-two years, one of the prominent residents of the town of East Greenbush, Republican County Committeeman and candidate for Supervisor on the Republican ticket at the last election, died Monday night at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Allendorph. He had been ill for about five months. Mr. Allendorph was a member of Schodack Union Lodge, F. and A. M., Albany Division, No. 504, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, being an employee of the Albany Southern Railroad; the Reneselaer County Republican Club and secretary of the East Greenbush Republican Club. He was educated in the Reneselaer schools and was a member of the First Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents, one brother, Glenn Allendorph and a sister Mrs. John Chesney of Albany. [1]
