Biography
William was born on 31 January 1858 in Chieveley, Berkshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Alley and Phoebe Ann (Chown) Alley.[1]
In the 1871 census William (age 13) was living in Willesden, Middlesex, England, with his parents Thomas (age 37) and Phoebe (age 36) and siblings Elizabeth (age 14) Anne (age 9) Albert (age 2) and Phoebe (age 8 months) [2]
The family emigrated to Queensland, Australia on the ship Great Queensland in 1874. [3]
He married Thirza Stalley on 26 February 1880 in Queensland, Australia. [4]
William passed away age 93 on 26 March 1951 in Northfield, South Australia [5] and was buried in Centennial Park Cemetery. [6]
