Biography

In 1818, Thomas Alley petitioned for three water lots for himself and his two sons, William and Charles, in Georgetown. The lots for his sons were reserved until the sons reached age 21.

William Alley married Margaret Aitken 19 September 1828. [1]

1872: D. William Alley, Cardigan, in his 66th year. [2]

William's will named the following family members: Sons Robert B., Charles A., Thomas Alfred (deceased), and George D. Alley; unmarried daughters Melinda and Emily; sister Charlotte. [3]

D. Robert B. Alley, youngest son of the late William Alley, Cardigan, died at the home of his brother-in-law, Thomas Brehaut [4]
