Biography

Possibly the son of Elisha Alligood and the brother of Francis Aligood. One of the first families to settle in Beaufort County, North Carolina (formed in 1741).

Jacob Alligood fought in the War of 1812. He was in the 2nd Regiment, under Lt. Col. Nathan Tisdale, North Carolina Militia.
