Peter Norley Alligood(Elligood) lived on the Eastern Shore.
He was named in the will of his step-father on 12 January 1698/99 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that Thomas Norly, wife Esther, gave his two sons-in-law (step-sons) William Elligood and Peter Norly Elligood 119 acres to be equally divided, William to have the plantation he now lives on and Peter the one whereon I now live. Peter was to have one horse and cow in lieu of what is coming to him out of his father's estate and William was to assist my wife.[1]
He married Margaret (20) Savage, daughter of Capt. Thomas (6) Savage (II) and Alicia Harmanson, on 25 November 1735 at Northampton Co, VA. Jno Dillion was a witness and there were no securities given on the marriage of Peter Norly Ellegood and Margaret Forse, widow.[2]
Peter made a will on 5 May 1737 at Northampton Co, VA. To my beloved wife Margaret entire estate and Extr. Witt: Thomas Willand, John Mitchusson, Nathan Wright, Esther Savage & John Savage
Peter died before 9 December 1746 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. It was proved by the solemon affirmation of Esther Savage.[3]
