Betsey was born in 1783. She was the daughter of Timothy Allis (1751 - 1801) and Elizabeth Clark Allis (____ - 1817). She was the third of four siblings:
- Pamelia Allis Lane (____ - 1865)
- Elisha Allis (1780 - 1825)
- Betsey Allis Chatfield (1783 - 1817)
- Isaac Allis (1785 - 1858)
Betsey married Zina Chatfield (1790 - 1826). These are their known children:
