s/o John Raleigh Allison & Rebecca B. Burgess. John Raleigh Allison (1840-1913), Rebecca B. Burgess (1838-1925), d/o George Washington Burgess & Charlotta McBride. John Isaac Allison md 1st Mattie Robinson on the 24th of February 1888 from Bloomington Springs, TN. He became a medical doctor and practiced medicine in the small resort town of Bloomington Springs, TN for many years. After Mattie's death he was remarried to Julia Ann Caruthers, on the 30th of March 1901 in Putnam Co., TN. Julia Ann (Caruthers) Allison, b. 14 June 1871, Putnam Co., TN – d. 22 August 1947, Cookeville, Putnam Co., TN.

Mattie had six children. William Hershal Allison (1890-1898) Fannie Mae Allison md Dr. Caldwell Milbra Rebecca Allison md Charlie Norton Martha Ethel Allison md Thomas Leslie Passon Zine Hubert Allison md Florence Maud Lee Allison md Joe Wheeler Webb

Julia was married to unknown Allison before 1900 and has two children in the 1900 census before she married Isaac John Isaac "Ike" Alison died of uremic poisoning.
