Father John Allison's 8 Dec 1795 Will: Will of John Allison EVENT: Will Probate FEB 1796, Orange County, North Carolina, USA [S11] JOHN ALLISON - Archives Book C, pg 75 Dated 8 December 1795 Proved February 1796 Wife: Martha Sons: Joseph Allison, 20 shillings James Allison, 240 acres of the entry joining David Allsion's tract John Allsion, Charles Allison, Hamilton Allison Daughters: Jennet, wife of James Ray Mary, wife of Thomas Curtis Martha, wife of Samuel Garat (that's how it's spelled) Grisel Allison, Agnes Allison, Elizabeth Allison Executors: wife Martha, and son Joseph Allison Witnesses: John Ray, Andrew McBroom

In 1820, her residence is located between her sons Raulston and William. She has 12 slaves.

In 1830, she is listed in the household of her daughter, Naomi Ray Carver, age between 90-99.

In 1840, she is living two houses away from her son Raulston, and in her household are Mary Ray White (her granddaughter) and Mary's children Shelby and Amanda. She has three slaves. Age between 90-99.

Death Date: Mar 1849. Place: War Trace Creek, Jackson County, Tennessee.

Following her death, there was an estate sale of her slaves:

Decree of Circuit Court of Jackson County, Tennessee, he as clerk sold to [illegible] on 11 August 1849 negroes Malinda, August, Anthony and Elizabeth for $1780. On 2 January 1850 sold ?Gilbert/Gilford for $805.
