According to the 1850 Census, William was born in Tennessee in the year 1828. If this is correct, William's mother cannot be Jane Mooneyham. Johnson Robert Marion Allison, William's father, did not marry Jane Mooneyham until 1830 in the state of Alabama. We know Johnson comes from Kentucky. It is possible William's dad had a previous wife and spent some time in Tennessee after leaving Kentucky before making the move down to Alabama.
In 1860 we find William living with his siblings and Loranda J. Allison in dwelling 1191. William's parents, Johnson and Jane, were living in dwelling 1190 shown on the previous census page.
Is Loranda J. his wife? Is she another relative? Is William the same William Allison that married Eliza Ship in Alabama between the 1850 census and 1860 census in 1853? If so, what happened to Eliza? Loranda is too young, 18 in the 1860 census, to be Eliza.
