James Perry was born in 1889, the son of Robert Allison and Margaret Ann Cook. He married Edith Shahan, nee Fletcher, in 1923. James passed away in 1978. [1]

Obituary of James Perry Allison
James Perry Allison of 22169 Allison Road, Noti, passed away at a local nursing home on June 5, 1978 at the age of 88. Mr. Allison, a lifelong resident of the Noti area, was born September 11, 1889 on Poodle Creek Road near Noti. He married Edith Fletcher September 7, 1923 at Vancouver, Washington. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1977. Mr. Allison was a farmer, a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Army, a member of the Elmira Grange, and served as road supervisor on Poodle Creek Road during the gravel construction. Survivors include a son: Ted J. Allison of Noti; a step-son, Lloyd W. Shahan of Eugene; 2 sisters: Grave Swenson and Gladys Foster, both of Eugene; 3 grandsons; 3 step-grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Burns-Fredericksen Funeral Home, Springfield, Thursday, June 8th, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. with Willett Jessee of the Noti Church of Christ officiating. Concluding services and vault interment will follow at Lane Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that friends who prefer may contribute to the Oregon Heart Association in his memory.
