Biography

William was born in Ohio in 1849, the third child of John Allison and Mary Carlton. He is found on the census from 1850 through 1900, living with his parents on the first three reports.

William married Margaret (Maggie) Bixler in 1873 and they had five children.

In 1901, William was killed in a coal mine accident with 15 other men in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in Girard Liberty Union Cemetery with other family members.[1] [2]
