George Allman was born in 1787 in Bandon, Ireland, the son of Mary (Clugston) Allman nad George Allman.^{[citation needed]}

He married Elizabeth Dowden in 1817 in Bandon.^{[citation needed]} Their children were:^{[citation needed]}
