Elizabeth Lynn Allman was born on September 3, 1917, in Longacre, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Woodrum) Allman. She married Joseph Jay Hinkle Jamison on October 14, 1936, in Fayette County, West Virginia. They had four children during their marriage. She died on January 13, 1999, in Fletcher, North Carolina, at the age of 81, and was buried in Sarasota, Florida.
