Biography
Marie (her preferred name) was born in Alamance, North Carolina on 1 May 1920. She was the daughter of Charles Allred and Pattie Florence Daniel. [1] Her father died in 1930, when Marie was only 10 years old, and her mother moved them to live with James W. Daniel, Gladys' paternal grandfather.[2]
She passed away in Brunswick, North Carolina on 16 Apr 2002.
