Lottie V. (Allshouse) Knapp, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at her home in Knox Township, Pa.
Lottie was born to the late Henry and Katie (Jennings) Allshouse on November 11, 1934. On January 29, 1955, Lottie married Alton L. Knapp in Summerville, Pa.; after 63 years of marriage he survives her.
She worked at Sylvania in Brookville, Pa., and later began working for Brookville Hospital where she held a position within the kitchen.
She was a member of the Ramsaytown United Methodist Church. Lottie enjoyed cooking, but mostly spent her time taking care of others. She was a selfless person and almost everything she did was because someone else needed it. She loved being surrounded by friends and family and didn't take a single moment for granted. Lottie had an unbreakable faith in God and the light of Jesus would always shine through her actions.
In addition to her husband, Lottie is survived by four children: Judy (Don) Zellonis of Brookville, Pa., Tammy (Jerry) Bullers of Brookville, Pa., Terry (Sandy) Knapp of Corsica, Pa., Jeff Knapp of Brookville, Pa.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters; Dessie Geer of Brookville, Pa., and Violet Haight of St. Marys, Pa.
In addition to her parents, Lottie is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and James; four sisters: Ruth, Clara, Louise, and Daisy; and one granddaughter, Kayla Bullers.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 4, 2018, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m., at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m., and officiated by Pastor Paul Thompson. Interment will take place at the Ramsaytown Methodist Cemetery, which is located near her home in Knox Twp
