Biography

Ellen Allwood was born about 1848[1] at Solihull[2], Warwickshire, England, and was baptised on the 23rd April 1848 at St. Alphege, Solihull, Warwickshire, England, the daughter of Joseph Allwood[3] (farmer) and Charlotte Allwood of Sharman's Cross[4]

On the 8th May 1865, Eleanor Allwood married Edward Stickley White at St. Peter, Harborne, Staffordshire, England. Edward Stickley White, 17, bachelor Writing? clerk of Harborne, son of John White (Writing? clerk); and Eleanor Allwood, 17, spinster of Harborne, daughter of Joseph Allwood (Farmer). Witnessed by John White and Sarah White.[3]

Eleanor died aged 91 years on the 25th January 1939 at 19 Jesse Terrace, Reading, Berkshire, England.

"DEATHS
WHITE.—On January 25 (1939), at 19, Jesse Terrace, Reading, Eleanor, widow of Edward S. White, late of Zinzan Street, aged 91."[5]
