Eugene was born in 1897. He was the son of John Bertis Almeter. His World War I Draft Registration Card describes him as tall, medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. [1] At the time of the registration he worked for Thomas McCormick in North Java, New York. [2]He passed away in 1985. Eugene is buried in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Scio, New York. [3]
