James Almond was born April 30th, 1818 to parents Matthew and Rebecca Almond.[1]
On March 4th, 1840, James married Emily Weer in Hendricks County, Indiana.[2] They raised many children together - 6 boys and 4 girls. In birth order: Enos A., David H., Granville, Hiram, Margaret Jane, Rebecca, John R., Harlan Andrew, Julia Emaline and Alva.[3][4][5]
