Mary Catherine, daughter of Granville and Sarah Kate Almond, was born in Salem, Iowa April 27, 1889.
She married Ralph Waldo Dutton on January 7th, 1914 in Henry County, Iowa.
They raised two children, Marion Rosalie and Ralph Almonde. The family lived first in southwest Iowa, in Malvern and then Shenandoah, later moving to the northeast corner of the state, living first in Cass and later Strawberry Point, close to where Ralph was born in Norwich.
Mary passed away in 1957.
