Susannah Almy was born in 1765 in Newport, Rhode Island to Captain Benjamin Almy and Mary Gould Almy.
She married Benjamin Stiles Lightbourn, son of Joseph Lightbourn, 2 December 1796 at Christ Church, Nassau, Bahamas. Among their children: Benjamin Joseph Lightbourn and William Edmund Lightbourn.
Death Notice - Rhode Island Journal, 15 May 1826: " LIGHTBURN Susanna, wife of Capt. Benjamin S. and daughter of the late Capt. Benjamin ALMY of Newport, age 60 years, at Nassau, N.P."
Common Burial Ground, Newport R.I. [on same stone as Benjamin Almy ]: "Susanna LIGHTBORNE, dau of Capt. Benjamin ALMY d. at Nassau N[ew] Providence 21 Dec 1821 age 61"
LDS IGI lists Susanna ALMY born Newport, 2 Jan 1765 to Benjamin ALMY. Newport Town Records, RI Historical Magazine, V1, p 51.
