William Alner was born in Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England.

William was born in about September 1878 in Haven St., Ryde, IOW. He was the son of Henry Matthew Alner and Lucy (Leal) Alner.^[1][2]

On 3 April 1881 William (age 2) was living in Ninham Road, Binstead, Near Ryde, IOW.^[3][4]

When William was 26 he married Mary Ennis in about December 1904 in Isle of Wight register.^[5][6]

On 2 April 1911 William (age 32) was employed as a Coachman. His wife was the cook for the same household.^[7]

On 2 April 1911 William (age 32) was living in Hall Land, Slinfold.^[8][7]

William died at the age of 60 in about March 1939 in Surrey.^[9]
