Biography

Philipp Alpeter was born circa 1817, in Prussia. [1]

Circa 1841, Philipp immigrated to the United States of America, arriving at the Port of New York aboard the ship Oneida. [1]

By 1850, Philipp was living in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York, with his spouse, Jane, and their 3 children: George, Jane, and Caroline. Philipp supported his family as a master mason and bricklayer. Over the years, at least 2 more children were born: Frederick and Philipp. [2] [3]
