Edward Arthur "Vic" Alphey was born on 24 May 1907 in Deniliquin, New South Wales, Australia, son of Eliza (Hussey) Alphey and Joseph Henry George Alphey.^[1]

He married Rubina Merle Allan on 8 August 1929 in Collingwood, Victoria.^[2] Their son was:^{[citation needed]}
