Biography
The will of Thomas Gilberd, of Frodley, co. Stafford, the elder, yeoman; 31 July, 1626; proved 5 March 1626; mentions "my grandchildren Ann, Richard and William Alport, children of William Alport, my son in law, and his wife Ann". [1]
The Visitations of Staffordshire note that William Alport of Cannock died in 1630.
