(1) In the 1851 census at the Hut, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire was listed George Alsford aged 31 agricultural labourer born Hedgerley Dean along with his wife Elizabeth aged 31 born Farnham, Buckinghamshire and children Henry aged 12, born Farnham and William aged 10, Alfred aged 8 and Eliza aged 4 all born Chalfont St Giles.
(2) In the 1861 census at Finch Lane Amersham was listed George Alsford aged 42 farmers labourer born Farnham along with his wife Elizabeth aged 38 born Hedgerley Dean and children Alfred aged 18 labourer born Farnham, Eliza aged 11 abd Robert aged 8 both born Chalfont St Giles, Frederick aged 6 born Amersham Common, Jane aged 2 and Rose aged 1 both born Chalfont St Giles.
(3) In the 1871 census at Gerrards Cross, Fulmer, Buckinhamshire was listed George Alsford aged 55 brick maker born Hedgerley Buckinghamshire along with his wife Elizabeth aged 50 born Hedgerley Dean and children Robert aged 17 agricultural labourer born Hedgerley Dean and one other son aged 15 labourer born Chalfont St Peters Buckinghamshire.
