Biography

Mary Altham was the daughter of Edward Altham and Elizabeth Barne[1][2].

The Visitation of Essex[1] also recorded that Mary Altham married Rafe Hawtrey of Ruislip and had issue John, Edward, Rafe and Mary.

In the will of her great grandmother, Dame Mary Judd of Latton, Essex, the will made on 20 Feb 1596/1597, published on 13 Jul 1601, and proved on 19 Feb 1601/1602[3] the Testator made bequests to Edward Altham and Elizabeth his wife, and later in the will to "Marye Hawtrie my grandchilde".
