DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
A lot of these siblings are incorrect for John Altizer married to Elizabeth Elkins. For one, Thomas Akers Altizer is the son of David Riley Altizer. Dicey Altizer is the daughter of Emery Altizer Jr for another. The CORRECT Altizer siblings of this John Altizer are: Emery Altizer Jr. (m. to Mary Reed and Margaret Reed), Nancy (m. to Adam Akers), David Riley (born 1784, m. to Susan Slusher), (Elizabeth) Betsy Altizer (m. to George A Reed), Jonas (married to Sally Ratcliffe and Sarah Simpkins), William (died at age 7), and Elias married to Cynthia Elkins and Thursey Taylor. Some info available here, I have pages from two different Altizer books as well. http://www.janeland.com/rootalph.html
Altizer-48 and Altizer-47 appear to represent the same person because: John Altizer, son of Emera Altizer was also the father of Elizabeth Altizer Yearout.
Altizer-84 and Altizer-47 appear to represent the same person because: Both are born the same year and the same place to the same parents. Altizer-47 was part of an Ancestry import that may have had duplicates.
