When George D ALTMAN was born in 1878 in Canada, his father, Nicholas, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 30. He married Dorotha BURNS on August 18, 1902, in Flint, Michigan. They had one child during their marriage. He died as a young father on June 16, 1903, in Flint, Michigan, at the age of 25, and was buried there.

FALL WAS FATAL!
Geo. Altman Dead As Result of Bicycle Accident. Front Forks of His Wheel Broke While He Was On His Way to Work.
George Altman, who was thrown from his wheel Monday afternoon while on his way to work, by the breaking of the front forks of the machine, died at 8:30 this morning at the home of his mother, 1102 Fair Street. He did not regain consciousness after the accident. The fall which Altman took occurred just before he had reached the bridge near the paper mill, and he struck with great force in the road. He was picked up by Mr. McKay and taken to the home of his mother, Mrs. C. M. Altman. The doctors who were called found that the injured man was suffering from two fractures of the jaw and that he was paralyzed on his entire right side. His scull was also injured and he suffered concussion of the brain. The deceased would have been 26 years old next August and he had been married but ten months. Besides his wife he is survived by his mother and by four sisters and one brother. mrs. George W. Cook, who lives in Louisiana, Mrs. L. M. Rancour, of this city, residing on Mathewson street; Mrs. John Gariepy, Bay City; Mrs. E. W. Teachout, who lives on Prospect street, and Henry Altman, who resides with his mother. Mr. Altman was a wood worker and was employed at Stewart’s factory No. 1. He carried insurance in Flint Tent K. O. T. M. for $1,000, and was also a member of the Flint Vehicle Factories Mutual Benefit Association. His home was at 505 Mathewson street. Arrangements for the funeral are not completed as the family is waiting to hear from the sister in Louisiana.
