Biography

Hiram is listed as twelve years old in the 1861 census,^[1] but his mother Eunice is still listed as single and at home in 1852 census.^[2] But the 1861 census date may not be correct. The 1916 census, for instance, gives a birth date of 1851.^[3]

Hiram was a land inspector.^[3]
