Biography

Jose Tiburcio de Buenaventura Alvarez was born on April 14, 1791, his father, Juan Pedro, was 31 and his mother, Maria Graciano, was 29. He had one child with an india woman, Ynes Antonia Teresa Yquapay, one child with Maria Victoria Valdez, and one child with Maria Asumpcion de la Encarnacion Ontiveros. He died on December 20, 1828, in Los Angeles, at the age of 37, and was buried in California.
