Genaro Alvidres was born in Hidalgo Parral, in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro Alvidres and Tomasa Contreras and was christened on 2 Dec 1851 at San Jose, Hidalgo Del Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.[1]
Genaro's marriage record, 10 April, 1873, in Hidaldo Parral states that he is twenty, the son of Pedro Alvidres, deceased, and Josefa Salas, and grandson of Ygnacio Alvidres, deceased, and Tomasa Contreras. Genero's bride, Ysabel Lucero, is sixteen, a native of Santa Barbara, the daughter of Francisco Lucero, deceased, and Maria Encarnacion Perez. Her grandparents are unknown. It is interesting to note that since the bride's father was deceased at the time of the marriage, though the mother was present, the marriage had also to be approved by the older brothers of the mother, as the mother alone could not give consent.[2]
Genaro and Ysabela had a son, Jose Crescencio Patrocinio Alvidres Lucero, the following spring, and he was christened on 26 Apr 1874 at San Jose, Hidalgo Del Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.[3]
His wife's death record (at the age of 35) in August of 1886, tells us that she is already a widow. So Genaro died before this date.[4]
