Mary Alvord, born 19 Feb 1826 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, was the fifth child of Hope Ashley and Ebenezer Alvord.
She married 4 Aug 1884 @ Holyoke, Massachusetts, Luther Stearns [b. 17 Aug 1820, son of Oliver and Dorcas (Varnum) Stearns]. They had 6 children, born at Springfield, Massachusetts:
