He married 12 Jan 1692/3 at Northampton, Massachusetts, Thankful (Miller) (1669-1738), daughter of William and Patience Miller. They had 8 children, all born at Northampton [2]:
Per the Alvord genealogy, Jonathan Alvord Sr. was a tailor by occupation; had grants of land in 1695, 1704, 1709, and 1714. He lived on the "lot opposite Talbot's house."
Jonathan died probably on 13 August 1727 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts at the age of 58. His final resting place is unknown; only a virtual memorial pertains [9], which aligns the year of his death as 1727 per the Northampton records [10]. The Alvord genealogy published his death year as 1729, however this likely is an error because his widow, Thankful (Miller) Alvord was granted power of administration of his estate on 11 Mar 1728/29.
