Benjamin Thaddeus Alvord was born in North Ogden, Utah Territory, 16 Jan 1871 [Note: His parents were not married until December 1869, so the earlier input date in January 1870, which appears in his obituary as posted to his grave memorial, is improbable]. He was the first child of Benjamin Bromley Alvord and Mrs. Malinda (Crockett) (Hancock) Alvord.
In 1897 Benjamin married Valana Jensen and together they were parents of three children. Benjamin was in the sheep business with his brother. They resided in Brigham City, Utah where Benjamin passed away in 1923 at age 52.
